Past simple: « to be »: I was

We use the Past Simple to refer about completed actions in the past.
I, he, she, it, John was,
We, You, they, my brothers were,

To be: I You He, she, it We You They

Past Simple: was were was were were were

Negative form: was/were + NOT
was not => wasn’t I wasn’t at school last week.
were not => weren’t We weren’t at school last week.

Interrogative form: was/were + Subject
Was he at school yesterday?
Were you at the party last night?

PAST:

• 006c: Past Simple: « to be »: I was
• 006d: Past Simple: « to do »: I did 
• 007:   Past Continuous: I was doing …  
• 007:   Past Continuous: I was doing, when we dont use this form
• 008:   Past Simple (I did) and Past Continuous (I was doing)
